Enlightened Shareholder Primacy Principle in South African Company Law

Abstract
The question of whether the Company law protects minority shareholders' interests is answered comprehensively. Unlike the previous Companies Act of 1973, the Companies Act 2008 has introduced a company law that enlightens shareholders' value. The aim of this article is to outline minority shareholder protection under the 2008 Companies Act as shareholder primacy in South African Company law.
