      <abstract>
        <p>The process of democratization in Nigeria is the subject of this paper&#039;s primary concern. In the course of the conversation, we will be reflecting on the twin evils of election malpractice and violence, which have been the obstacles that have been standing in the way of the establishment of democracy in the country. On the one hand, the process of democratization was shown to be a turning point in terms of the problems of accountability, transparency, and socioeconomic progress. In contrast, the process of democratization has been plagued by severe instances of electoral fraud and recurrent incidents of violence associated with elections in both military and civilian governments. The breadth and characteristics of the twin evils that are trending in democracy in Nigeria are investigated in this article. Additionally, recommendations are made on measures to limit Election Malpractice and other forms of political violence that are related to it.</p>
